Hm, doesn't this look a bit incomplete? Closes on a dominant VII chord, so one would expect another (faster?) section in G minor (or major?) to follow. - R.P.
For what it's worth the next page in this issue of the Neue Musik-Zeitung is occupied by Weihnachtslied, Op.320 No.1 (Heiser, Wilhelm) so all that was published of Becker's Improvisation is posted here. - Cypressdome

I see the Weihnachtslied is in G major, so maybe Becker composed this piece as an introduction to Heiser's piece? - R.P.
