Antonio Ganganelli is not to be confused with Pope Clement XIV (1705-1774). We don't know the birth- and death- dates of Antonio Ganganelli, poet of Gerson's G.59. But we do know that he was living as an Italian- and Latin- teacher in Hamburg 1803-1812. From his preface to an anthology of Italian poetry published in Hamburg 1810 we know that he was a member of the Florentine Academy and of the Accademia degli Arcadi in Rome.
