Done for composers, will work on work pages.
Oh, and I also don't quite like the position of the "Recordings:" field in the Work pages. It looks as if the order is like Composition Date, Publishing Date, Recordings, Style, Genre, which is not logical. It should be at a more central place. What about putting it in the grey box, aligned to the right (in another column, maybe) and in the middle (concerning height - maybe merging the two lines together?). I think it would be much more obvious and central, as it's more than just some information about the piece (like the composition date or librettist).
Also, the translation for "Recordings:" in Greek is "Ηχογραφήσεις:", in case any admin sees this.

- I never was, and never will be a great web designer ;) But in any case, my original point is to just get a "Recording" field in there, so that people can add recording links; changing the layout of the template is very trivial and easy, but actually using template functions is not. Regarding the layout change, it'd be nice if you could try it out... maybe someone could create a page with HTML/wiki-code of the template and try it out, so that I can integrate it back into the parser function. I'm a HTML-illiterate person, so it is very hard for me to design HTML even if you tell me what to do (unless you give me the code) ;) Wiki code for a slightly older version of the template
can be found here. --Feldmahler 20:17, 13 September 2007 (EDT)
- Hah, I never thought I'd hear this from the founder of IMSLP :P Although I am more familiar with html than I am with wiki formatting, instead of creating the whole template from scratch in html I chose to go read some stuff about wiki formatting and play around with the archived template you gave me. The result is this: IMSLP:Site_development/drafts#Work_description. I didn't align it to the right because it looked ugly, but I did kinda "merge" the two rows and centered the "Recordings" field. I used {{{Recording}}} as the assumed value, as the archived template of the file description is not up-to-date and thus I don't know the actual parameter. I've also done some other changes to the colours. I've changed the old grey background to a new lighter grey with a touch of blue (which blends in better with the rest of the site, I think). I also chose a different colour for the Recording field so as to distinguish it from the Work Title and Work Description fields, although this shouldn't be necessary if we used borders between the two columns of fields to separate one from another.
- Also, I discarded the old code for that upper part of the description box, as I couldn't understand it, and I replaced it with the code I wrote. Feel free to change it so that it fits in with the rest of the code, if there are any problems that are not obvious (because it looks fine, but it might not *be* fine...). I could play around with borders if you like the idea, but I'll have it ready tomorrow (I need sleep too :P). Hope you like it! ~ jujimufu 22:29, 13 September 2007 (EDT)
- (removed old version and moved jujimufu's version out of template namespace. --Leonard Vertighel 16:16, 2 October 2007 (EDT))
