While the rework of this page is in progress, contributors are kindly asked to postpone uploads until October 2026, when the first new upload list is expected to be in place. In the meantime, you are welcome to watch this page to be notified when contributions reopen.

Description/Goals

The DKB Project aims to ensure that the digitized music manuscripts and prints of the Royal Danish Library (Det Kgl. Bibliotek, formerly known on IMSLP as "DKB") are represented on IMSLP.

Until 2014, this was organized through regularly updated lists on this page, tracking which of the library's digitized scores had already been uploaded to IMSLP and which were still missing. No upload lists have been added since 2014, leaving a gap of more than a decade. The revived project pursues two goals:

1. Track new uploads by the Royal Danish Library. Regularly, a new list is compiled of recently digitized or newly published scores made available by the library, so that new material can be reviewed and uploaded to IMSLP in a timely manner.

2. Close the gap from 2014 to 2026. The scores published by the library between 2014 and 2026 that were never recorded on this project need to be identified and worked through, continuing the coverage where the original lists left off.

The lists below (see Upload log by year) serve as the working records for both goals: they document what has been uploaded, what still needs review, and what has not yet been started.

Tasks

1. Mirror the DKB site's score pages

  • Find the pages,
  • Copy the html content, wikify it on appropriate pages here.
(Copy the DKB page's html content in a spreadsheet, add a column on the left with "−"s, use a "Excel to wiki" converter and paste in a wiki page.)

2. Review the mirrored pages

Review what has already been uploaded to IMSLP, and tag accordingly the lists.

  • How to tag the lists
Please replace:
in the first column (at the beginning of the line) by:
Done
for works that have been imported to IMSLP,
Other Source
for works of the same edition that have been imported from a source other than DKB to IMSLP (if the quality of the DKB copy is better then upload it),
<span style="color:#FF00FF;">''Special''</span>
for special pages (i.e. links not to single files, but to pages containing many files), or
<span style="color:#FF0000;">''Not Importable''</span>
for works that cannot be imported to IMSLP (due to copyright issue, or whatever).
  • Static vs. Dynamic
  • At first, please only deal with static pages − the e-noder archives, and those of the "special" pages that are closed − and of which we should first establish the list.
  • Then, we'll have to find a way to deal with the pages that are still growing on the DKB site .
  • Minor tasks
  • Make sure that the work pages on the wiki use the {{DKB}} template.
  • Check the Arranger, Librettist, etc. fields.

3. Upload

  • Upload works that hasn't been yet.
Don't forget to tag the list accordingly!

Upload log by year

Year Scans tracked Completed Last updated
2026
2015–2025 (lists to be added)
2014 ~280 ~134 January 2015
2013 ~283 ~124 June 2013
2012 ~224 ~87 June 2013
2011 ~284 ~250 June 2013
2010 ~213 ~139 June 2013
2009 ~426 ~279 June 2013
2008 ~303 ~210 May 2014
2007 ~108 ~73 July 2013

Lists for 2015–2025 will be compiled retrospectively, based on the DKB uploads of those years.

Historical note: From 2007 to 2012, additions were tracked via the bimonthly "e-Noder" newsletter (hence the irregular year boundaries: December to November). DKB abandoned this method in May 2012; from August 2012, a new tracking method was used, based on filtering of records via the catalogue. The yearly logs retain this historical segmentation for consistency.
