*Hymne à la Nuit is freely based on a theme from Jean-Philippe Rameau's opera Hippolyte et Aricie (1733), where it appears as the Duo of the Priestesses of Diana "Rendons un éternel hommage" (1st act, 3rd scene) in a different key (G major) and a faster tempo.
