Navigation etc.

  • Tulou was a Professor of Flute at the Paris Conservatoire, where several of his works were used in the annual Concours; the cover page to this does mention the Concours, but not the year in which this specific piece was used. The music has a stamp of "1841" on it, and according to Larry Krantz, the possible years would be somewhere between 1832 and 1838 (the 1840 Concours used the 6th Grand Solo).
  • Since the cover page gives equal status to the accompaniment of quartet and piano, both are tagged. (Quartet accompaniment version: see Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1842), p.119.)
