Extra Information Sarti's most popular opera seria, widely performed all over Europe until the early 19th century. The present score was published after a revival at the Teatro San Carlo, Naples, in 1786. - If you are looking for the famous aria "Lungi dal caro bene" please don't be disappointed that it is not included here. Although attributed to the opera "Giulio Sabino" in some aria collections, this little gem is actually part of Sarti's earlier opera "Le gelosie villane" (Venice, 1776) and was regularly inserted into "Giulio Sabino" by the soprano Luigi Marchesi whenever he took the leading role in this opera.
