Gertrude and Virginia is a rescoring with a reduced instrumental ensemble of Scene 6 of Fine’s chamber opera The Women in the Garden (pp 73 - 88 of the typeset score). Note that scene divisions do not appear in the original score; they were added by the composer for performance purposes.
