History

Georges Oertel of Brussels operated from ca.1900 to 1920. It was originally a piano retailer, having taken over the Nachtsheim-Colman business in 1895, renaming it the Maison Beethoven.
Not to be confused with Louis Oertel of Hannover (1875-), Oertel of Wurzburg (Rich. Banger Nachf) ca.1900, or Johannes Oertel of Berlin (1940s).
