Gamble Music of Chicago started in 1906. It was famous for "Gamble-izing." This was a method of rebinding sheet music with a cloth hinge in the spine to lengthen its life.
The firm was also a publisher at least from 1906 to 1914. It still operates as a manufacturer of sheet music storage boxes, and as a retailer.
