G. Schubert operated in Leipzig from 1834 to 1841. In addition to scores it published the trade guide Verzeichniss der Kunst- und Musikalienhandlungen Deutschlands und der benachbarten Staaten für das Jahr 1838. Most of the catalog was popular piano music, including operatic potpourris and dances such as Kunze's Raschwitzer Lustfahrt-Galoppe (1837).
