Publication was noted in the Hofmeister's 1906 Handbuch covering publications from 1898 through 1904 but cannot be found in Hofmeister's annual and monthly publications to pin down the exact date. A Kowal adagio for violin, cello or horn and piano or organ was published by Wernthal in 1902 and is listed in HMB (p.331/1902), however.
