Extra Information | 6 voices from the description of a recording of the entire work (conducted by Corboz, recorded on Erato). His histoires sacrées (a genre of which he wrote 13; not sure if "sacred oratorio" is exactly the right tag) require a narrator (historicus), use recitatif, ensemble, chorus and orchestra. According to James R. Anthony (French Baroque Music: From Beaujoyeulx to Rameau, from which the above information is taken), of the 13 historia only Judicium Salomonis may be dated (it was performed in 1702). - Schissel |
