Extra Information | Improvised. Using my 4-track TEAC reel-to-reel I improvised this piece one evening and didn't alter anything after recording it. Therefore sometimes the layers are not rhymically coordinated. This is a 4-movement sonata. Movement 3 flows into movement 4 with no break. For the graphics I used the picture I took of the sun rising at Castle Beach, Singapore, just before I proposed to my wife. Those are ships in the distance beyond the jetty. I wasn't trying to represent evening. I just liked the title since I improvised it in the evening. After that I composed more evening sonatas. Some of them are played by my Ensoniq EPS synthesizer. |
