RISM's genre for this is "???en.rism.subject.pastoral_plays???", and Grove classifies it as a pastorale. However, since IMSLP's use of "pastorales" in the tagging system refers to "vocal or instrumental composition suggestive of a rustic subject, or an early French form of opera-ballet", and since this is in French it is assumed it is the type of opera-ballet (though it was premiered in Brussels, not Paris). The tag can be changed if necessary.
