The output of this Leipzig firm, founded in 1883, gives a picture of amateur musical culture in late Wilhelmine Germany. There were piano pieces, such as Erika-Album. Eine Sammlung leichter melodiöser Salonstücke, solo songs and male voice chorus works. Another major genre was zither works, in series such as Lieder-Perlen (30 items 1891-). Im Zither-Club (1883- 26 vols), Epheuranken and Aus der weiten Welt. A few other genres such as easy violin pieces by Reinhold Jockisch, and a magazine Musik-Zeitung, internationale. Zeitschrift f. die Gesammt-Interessen der musikalischen Welt were also published. Production was vigorous, with 400 items listed in HMB from 1883 to 1900.
