Extra Information
|
Seems likely to have been inspired by the Piano Sonata No.24, Op.61 'Élégie Harmonique', by Jan Ladislav Dussek (composed 1806) the in memoriam dedicatee.

Navigation etc.
The composer then wrote, according to JM Neves' worklist, a Marche funèbre for orchestra to "conclude" this work (SN93, "Marche funèbre pour terminer l’Elégie sur la mort de Dussek", C minor, 1812 - this is probably, come to think, an orchestration of the 2nd movement of the above.) "Ref. édition: gravé" (unpublished? - similarly for the above even though SN90 is published?))
