Text by Wilhelm Vogel. The drama was by Hoffmann, but the text of the song was not (and this was not at all unusual); it was an interpolated song, and the text was by someone else. Described in RISM as an excerpt from Erbvertrag. Reissiger's setting of this same text is called Serafine's Lied (see Cod. Guelf. 258 a Mus. Hdschr. (Nr. 3).
