(What is described as "Gavotte, Op.3" on several recordings of Sapelnikov's pianism is a mislabeled recording of the Gavotte Op.4 No.2, not a suggestion that he considered this a gavotte; this can be confirmed by listening to sound samples, at least.) Probably first published, like Op.4, in the 1890s? The Oesterle edition appears as part of a collection published in 1901 (available in full at Hathitrust).
