Navigation etc.

  • This work is attributed to Jerusalem, but the attribution has been questioned.
  • Grove Music lists a Clarines sonad in Jerusalem's work list, but for voices "and orchestra"; the instrumental parts are not listed.
  • 2 violin parts are clearly marked. The third instrumental part is marked "Clarin Primero" and the 4th one is also marked "Viol. 2o", but it is not the same as the other 2nd violin part. Its figuration is much more like the "Clarin Primero" part and is probably also the same instrument (trumpet). The bass part only exists in the score, which is unmarked as to specific instruments.
