Musiqueorguequebec lists a number of duos for 2 violins, for 2 cellos, and this page from the same site lists a number of works for cello and continuo (and arrangements of the same for violin and continuo) - it might be that this work is nothing more or less than the result of editorial cello realization of the continuo of one of the G.20 violin sonata versions of the cello-and-continuo solo sonatas, for instance (or the G.570 violin-and-continuo original (not originally a cello sonata, except for the 2nd movement which is adapted from G13) sonata) etc.?...) -- erm, or something, or something... I don't know. Hard to say or guess, without key listed or incipits or even movements. Uploading an incipit would have been nice, though, for those of us not in the small region in which this is out of copyright. - Schissel
- Not to be found in Gérard. Additionally Gérard lists 3 Bazelaire editions, but not this work. This sonata was recorded by Heifetz/Piatigorsky in 1964, but in a different edition. This recording is also not listed in the Gérard discography. -afp0815
