John Bishop (c.1665-1737)
English cathedral musician. In 1696 he was appointed organist of Winchester College, retaining this post until his death and was organist of the cathedral from 1729, likewise until his death. In 1700 Bishop published A Sett of New Psalm Tunes, and a supplement thereto in 1725.
