All that is known about Vitali is that he was a pupil of Antonio Cifra. As a composer, only one work by him ("Hodie completi sunt" a 8) has survived in the print "Psalmorum, sacrorumque concentuum octo vocibus, et organo concinendorum. Liber secundus editio prima auctore Antonio Cifra..." (1621).
