A composer, Freemason, writer, actor and soldier. He was also an entertainer at the piano, who sang his and other people's songs. Tovey was also a decorated WW1 veteran. He died in 1918, after being injured in December 1914 and he still continuted to fight. This caused his death, he was buried with full military honours.
