Tentatively identifying the "Harold Smith" who composed three works in Berg's Incidental Series published in 1917 with Harold Osborn Smith who was active in New York City during that time as a pianist, organist, and vocal coach. Harold Osborn Smith served on the faculty (organ and opera) of the Eastman School of Music from 1924 to 1954.
