A composer, theatre manager and satirist. Presented numerous musical productions during the Victorian/Edwardian era, one of such is Pélissier's Follies. Died at the young age of 39, from cirrhosis of the liver. Left behind an infant son, Anthony, who became a famous manager and director in his own right.
