Biographical data is sparse, but a composer of this name was active in Worthing, S.England, in the 1930's and a Francis J.Morgan of this age died there in June 1940. According to the Musical Times of March 1st 1931, his piano concerto was played by Dorothy Hogben and the Municipal Octet at the Worthing Pier Pavilion on January 26th.
Mentioned in the 1930 Cobbett's cyclopedia, volume 2, p.149, with brief list of works. Might be Francis John Morgan (1866-1940) from Manchester, Lancashire- see discussion page.
