Miscellaneous information
A society entertainer at the piano, who composed mostly his own material. His main forte was laughing songs, composing many of these songs. These songs were popular back in the Edwardian era when he began his career. However even after they started to die out, More still kept composing and publishing then. His last one was published in 1926, well after public tastes changed. However, these songs assumedly had some element of popularity, as seen with Charles Penrose's famous The Laughing Policeman (1926). However, whilst many stars adapted for the changing public tastes; More sadly did not. When laughing songs finally died out, he fell off the bill. He sadly died from suicide penniless after retirement. He stated in the suicide note that he spent the "last 2d in the gas meter". He was found by his son, Frank Ronald More. He was survived by Frank, and Algernon (Algy) More, a famous radio piano entertainer.
