Findagrave.com (also contains biography/obituary from newspaper soon after his death, tending to establish this is the same person. Spent much of his life in the US, travelling to Oakland California a few years into the 1850s (early in California's statehood) and spending much of his life as part of theatre troupes there, becoming a fairly well-known arranger. No mention of naturalization?)
