Wilhelm August Lautenschläger and his son Willi August (1903-app.1961) were both composers. The uploaded score of easy violin pieces, Op.12 was published as Willy Lautenschläger and dedicated to his 10 year old son Willi. Before his son's birth he used the nickname Willi, which he then changed to Willy.
Willy and Willi lived and published in Berlin. While the names on the scores are usually correct, catalogues (viaf, worldcat, most library catalogues etc.) maintain only one entry for both composers. Additionally Hofmeister lists the names incorrectly. Willi published after 2nd world war as Willi A. Lautenschläger.
