- Emil Korolanyi’s parents were Ludwik and Fanny (born Deutsch) Kohn from Bratislava. The family changed their name to Korolanyi in Vienna.
- Emil Korolanyi was buried on February, 7th 1940 in Vienna. On September, 20th 1949 he was exhumed and buried together with Johanna Korolanyi. This grave at the Vienna-Simmering cemetery still exists (picture at findagrave.com). Viaf and other sites incorrectly list 1949 as year of death.
- His twin brother Samuel Friedrich Korolanyi lived in Berlin as conductor and composer.
