Alessandro Kirschner Paduan musician and teacher, Maestro Kirschner attained degrees in Piano, Choral Music and Choral Conducting and in Composition, before graduating with the highest possible marks and honors in Contemporary Compositional Disciplines under the guidance of Giorgio Pressato. He specialized in choral conducting with Werner Pfaff and has attended courses on conducting technique and interpretation held by M. Berrini, N. Corti, P Neumann, G. Graden and H.M. Bäuerle. He directed the choir Mortalisatis, bringing it to the apex of the national panorama. He currently directs the vocal group Caterina Ensemble and the Children’s Choir Antonio Buzzolla at the Conservatory of Adria. As a choral conductor, he has won numerous awards in national competitions, including award for best conductor, twice.
As a composer in the competitive field, he has received numerous recognitions on a national and international level. His music is currently performed by choirs all over the world (Italy, Germany, Korea, Latvia, Hungary, Romania, South Africa, The United States, The Philippines, etc.) and is published by Edizioni Pizzicato, Edizioni Carrara, by Edizioni Musicali Europee and by Carus Verlag.
Maestro Kirschner is frequently invited as a jury member in choral and composition competitions as well as a lecturer and teacher in choral music specialization courses. He collaborates as pianist and preparatory teacher with the Children’s Choir of the Cesare Pollini Conservatory of Padua.
