As of 1886 or earlier, director of the Music School of Verviers (see Le Guide Musical, 7-13 May 1886, p.146, note here, and L'Art moderne, 23 January 1887, p.31 - which also mentions, in the sentence before, a pianist Gustave Kefer (of Bruxelles), apparently performing, at Reims this time, in the concert at which Kefer's trio was heard (a third performance known of the work?) ("On a entendu... le remarquable trio de Louis Kefer".)) Gustave perhaps a relative, perhaps not of course.
