In 1874 she petitioned to compete for the Prix de Rome -- in vain (women were not allowed until 1903). [2]
Collaborated with her sister Joséphine Isambert (also a piano teacher); together they wrote a Petit Traité de solfège théorique et pratique and a Nouvelle Méthode élémentaire de piano. [3][4]
