Musiklexikon claims that he was [following their links...] a student of Ferdinand Schubert (1872-1925) among others, "then with
Andreas Bibl (1797-1878)..." If this were true his studies with Ferdinand Schubert would necessarily have begun before the latter was 7 years old. (
Ferdinand Schubert (1794-1859) seems more likely, now I look at it.)
