A once famous pianist, born in a barn in Whitman County, Washington. His most famous work was Hedges Bros and Jacobson which created a ragtime boom in the UK during the 1910s. He also threw his hand at being enterainer at the piano, billed as "Elven Hedges and a Piano", this was short-lived. Also was his collaboration with Eddie Fields. This however did lead to several recordings. Died in France of cerebral hemorrhage.
