Gustave Conin by birth name, he made his debut as a theater actor under the artist name Renauld, and ended as a well known composer and orchestra leader under the name Gustave Goublier. In between, several combinations were used, such as Renau(l)d-Goublier and R. Goublier, sometimes even with different names on the cover and inside the score (e.g. Le crédo du paysan has R. Goublier on the outside, and G. Goublier on the inside). [1][2]
