Born early 1800s in Napoli; student of Zingarelli; musical debute: melodrama Le civette in apparenza (1826).
Listed in Milano city directories 1846-1850, as composer and music teacher.
Presumably brother of the music theorist Emmanuele Gambale, both sons of the Neapolitan physics professor Giovanni Gambale (1757-1834).
Last publication found: Cantico del Milite Lombardo (1848).
Death data uncertain. Could be this one:
Louis Gambale, born in Naples, maître-de-musique, father=Jean xxx, died in Bonneville (Haute-Savoie, France) on 29 June 1860, aged 54.
