Miscellaneous information
- There is a Benjamin Ebann (music teacher and composer in Bremen, born 1844), who went 1882 to America. His son William Benedict Ebann (1873-) became principal cello of the Philadelphia orchestra.
- But this composer must be born latest 1850, published in Berlin and perhaps earlier in Vilna. Works are still played as encore in recent concerts in Lithuania. His waltz op.105 (not at the time so numbered) was published around 1860 or 1875 (by 1882, acc to HMB) or both in Vilnius for example. HMB lists a violin concerto op. 81 published 1869 by the way.
