Pupil of Wilhelm Rischbieter at the Conservatory in Dresden, but he quit and arrived October 1, 1888 in New York, can be found around 1890 in Los Angeles, returns from San Francisco via Colon/Panama on May 11, 1892 to New York with the destination Germany, but appears on March 31, 1901 with his 1st wife Frieda in London, can be found in the address books of Dresden between 1902 and 1916 and Berlin between 1918 and 1927. From 1928 his widow Lina (3rd wife) lives in his flat in Berlin-Schöneberg, Bahnstrasse 40.
