CR Srikanth (Ravi Chandra Srikanth Cherukupalli, b. India) is an Indian-born, U.S.-based composer working in Western classical and Romantic chamber forms alongside contemporary genres. His catalog includes more than 250 original compositions across solo piano, chamber, orchestral, and hybrid formats, with an opus-numbered classical archive comprising piano works and programmatic chamber fantasias for violin and piano.
Srikanth's training spans Western classical theory, Carnatic and Hindustani traditions, and film and television composition coursework at Berklee Online (2025). His compositional language draws on common-practice harmony — including augmented sixth chords (Italian, French, German), modal interchange, extended dominant relationships, and imitative counterpoint — frequently paired with programmatic narrative structures and tempo-driven dramatic arcs.
In April 2026, Srikanth was the featured Guest Composer at the Spring URI Composers' Concert at the University of Rhode Island, in a program directed by Dr. Eliane Aberdam (URI composition faculty). Selected piano works were performed by pianist Dawn Chung.
He is the author of Bridging Two Traditions: A Working Composer's Handbook on VS Pop Orchestral Thinking (2025), and an ASCAP-registered composer and publisher (Member ID 7700263, IPI 1291142963). Selected scores are made publicly available on IMSLP for performers, students, and researchers.
