Violinist and composer. His songs Op.24 appear in HMB (Monatsbericht (1862), p.73) . Cofounder of the Altona Singakademie, colleague of Johannes Brahms. Born in Altona when it was under Danish control (which was true until 1864.) Lived in Hamburg for much of his life, however, returning to German Altona in 1874 and dying there in 1900.
