Miscellaneous information
- Not to be confused with George Becker (1834–1928). Friedrich Hofmeister published Opp.4,5, and 6 of both D.G. Becker (3 string quartets in 1857-58) and George Becker (3 salon pieces for piano in 1867 (Monatsbericht (1867), p.179)).
- Businessman (textiles), cellist and composer in Frankfurt
- Perhaps a relative of the violinist Jean Becker (1833–1884).
- An opera, "Trovo in der Indianen" (if by the same D[avid].G. Becker- who knows?- there is a gap of 40 years between his last (of 40 published or so opus numbers?), 1890 or so publication known (to me- Schissel), and this opera, it would seem) produced in 1936 in the Netherlands.
