Pianist, dedicatee of Rheinberger's piano concerto, spent much of his life in Munich. In Boston from 1881 and died in Newton, Massachusetts. Son of the clarinettist and composer Carl Baermann (1810–1885) and grandson of the clarinettist and composer Heinrich Baermann (1784–1847).
