Important (and therefore, will be ignored from here on in) caveat: "J. Bénard" is not necessarily Jules Bénard, as a composer Julien Bénard, who may have lived into the early 20th century, seems to have perhaps been a contemporary of Jules'. (Works by Julien and by "J." Bénard show up at Gallica-BNF with receipt dates of 1900-or-so, but as one would expect, this is rarely true of Jules, who at least could not have copyrighted them in his own name.) (Of course also not to be confused with Jules Bénard b.1948, but he writes in a different subject.)
