  • Apart from collecting folk songs, Escher also composed villotte, specifically for choirs, along the lines of popular Friulian songs, so this is likely male chorus rather than solo voices. Mr. Macchi's arrangement says "arm. M. Macchi". It is unclear what the nature of the harmonization is that would be different from Escher's original; perhaps the only difference is that it is for mixed chorus rather than male chorus.
  • One internet source has the title as Carnevàl, with an accent. If an original is ever uploaded and that turns out to be the case, the page title will have to change.
