Of the 18 capriccios in the Denkmaler collection (edited by Adler), only 12 exist in an autograph manuscript form. This may be one of the capriccios that only exists in a secondary source. The Diverse curiose è rare partite musicali of 1696 would have been a posthumous publication; Froberger died in 1667.
