About the Kram Edition
Graupner had an amazing ability to write canons. This piece is actually a suite of canons, all at the unison. It should be in every recorder player's repertoire. The recorder part is not difficult. The movements vary how many measures rest before the treble line repeats. An alternate cembalo part appears to have been overlayed on the original basso. I present two versions. The Urtext edition is notated as in the original. The Performance edition breaks out the alternate basso line on a separate staff as I interpret it to be played. At times the two basso lines work fine together to add to the accompaniment. You can decide how you want to deal with the alternate line. I'll add a continuo realization later if I get requests.
