Buscazón I. The first "Buscazón" for two harps by Salvador Torre was inspired dedicated and premiered by the duo Dos-Zarpas in the “Museo Nacional de Arte” in Mexico City in 1994 and is related to the “Son”, traditional music of State of Veracruz, a very joyful music on his typical rate of 6/8.
"Buscazón II" is the twin of the first, this time related to Afro-Caribbean rhythms composed for flute and harp. The meaning of title is "searching or looking for the “Son” is a game for the composer and the listener to look for identify this type of music inside this piece. At that time Salvador Torré was composed this "Buscazón" (1997) the author was focused and inspired by the Mayan Calendars setting into music, so it is used in this short piece only half a cycle of the Mayan Calendar, ie ten parts, or small pieces of 13 parts, this is not noticeable because sections occur in a continuous flow of gradual and progressive expansion. Basing everything on simple melodic rhythmic element it will gradually enlarged up to cover the full registration of the two instruments opening a large fresco of rhythms placed in the musical space regardless of instrument constructing a single timbre or resulting sum of both instruments.
