History
This firm operated from 1831 until 1855, publishing songs and operatic works (both complete operas and separate arias for voice or in instrumental arrangements). The major Parisian opera composers of the day were in the catalog: Daniel François Esprit Auber, Ambroise Thomas, Ferdinand Hérold, and others. Production was fairly brisk: the BNF catalog lists over 500 items for the 24 year period. J. Meissonnier acquired the company sometime after 1855.
